GreenEurohub (GREE)

Project number: 2014-1-FR01-KA200-008449

Project budget: 33 630 EUR (JKHK partnership)

Järvamaa Kutsehariduskeskus (JKHK) working jointly with TTU - Tallinn University of Technology are partners on the successfully funded GEEE project "Greeneurohub" coordinated by GIP-FCIP de Basse Normandie.

It is funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus + Program. The project intends to increase awareness in energy efficiency and increase „green“ competencies  for greater energy efficiency in retrofitting of existing build and new construction. This 3-year project will produce a mapping of national policies and vocational education trades as it directly relates to green skills and energy efficiency; create e-learning modules targeting contractors, but also suitable for vocational and higher education university learners. Two awareness building events will be organised targeting trainers, experts, architects, trades people and contractors.

The GEEE project is Phase I of the greater aim by Järvamaa Kutsehariduskeskus to become recognized as the energy efficiency vocational training centre of Estonia. Towards this endeavour we have joined a team of European experts from Italy, France, Portugal, and United Kingdom (Scotland and Wales) to achieve Phase II.

Our consortium has applied to the Horizon 2020 European Commission programme that is presently being evaluated. If successful, Järvamaa Kutsehariduskeskus will be able to transform the entire building program integrating energy savings skills into all building related courses, buy new testing equipment, and add a new professional standard Level 5 for medium level managers. This project complements and builds educational capacity by incorporating this energy efficiency focus benefiting the training centre’s other fields of study as bio-energy plant manager and other agriculture related studies.
