Estonian-Latvian joint training for specialists in the water sector 24. May Merje Mölter

Estonian and Latvian water sector specialists met on April 25-26 at the Ojako recreation center in Pärnu County.

The aim of the training was to strengthen mutual cooperation across borders. The most important part of the first day was the "Water Management Game" developed by Riga University of Technology. The idea is very simple but required field-specific knowledge: the first group is the water company, which sets the parameters in which volume they can receive wastewater. Other groups are various industries that have to set their company's waste water volume and limits according to the specifics of production and go to the water company to see if they can send their waste water to their treatment plant.
On the second day of the training, Pärnu Vesi AS opened its doors and gave us a tour and a presentation about the company.
