What runs the world? 27. December Merje Mölter

Water!
It is not just what you drink! From tracking down a corona outbreak using water insights to filtering precious resources from wastewater, our water world is constantly innovating. PoVe Water ensures that current and future water sector professionals have the key skills and competences.

The project PoVE Water (Platform of Vocational Excellence Water) held its third transnational project meeting in the second week of December in Estonia. This time the central theme – industry innovations – was set to let participants get the idea of what are the most recent innovations in the water sector and how they can feed into contemporary vocational education.

Every meeting makes sure that PoVE "three pillars" stand strong:
- Team: to strengthen the PoVE Water partnership and continue to build a strong team.
- Region: to know more about the innovation ecosystem of the Estonian partners of CoVE Water Baltics; share experiences with industry experts from all countries on Water sector Innovations, what Estonian examples can feed into the different work packages.
- Project: What has been done so far and what activities lie ahead? How can we support each other in these activities? What are concrete actions all partners have to undertake in the work packages?

The project PoVE Water Scale-up is a joint initiative of 8 VET schools, 7 Water industry professionals, 4 academic partners and 3 support partners in Europe (NL, DE, MT, CZ, LV, EE, BE) and beyond (SA) to educate our VET students to become agile, digitally skilled and sustainable oriented water sector professionals that our future desperately needs.
